At the end of the Spring 2026 semester, Gerber Institute sponsored seven Newman students attendance at MedCon 2026. Hayley Stewart, Anna Lobmeyer, Luis Piedra, Viviana Torres, Katie Stewart, Teagan Scherer, and Kristine Pham all took a road trip to Ohio for the conference.
The students gave a lunch and learn presentation for the Newman community upon returning to share their experiences and what they learned. They expressed the hope that more students will be able to go from Newman in the years to come.
