WWND: What Would Newman Do?

Academic excellence or Catholic identity? How to balance those two goals is the central debate in Catholic higher education today.
We will discuss that debate during November’s Lunch and Learn on November 29, 2017 in the Alumni Center. Dr. Joshua Papsdorf will give a brief report on current trends in the debate drawn from a recent conference on Catholic higher education in America. Along with that report, he will open the discussion by proposing that our namesake’s vision of Catholic education can serve as a framework for addressing that debate here at Newman.
