We now have video clips available of all four speakers from the Gerber Institute’s January 26 panel discussion on reconciliation and the death penalty.

[ January 26, 2010; 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. ] Issues to be addressed include an overview of the history of the death penalty in Kansas and of the current legislative initiative to abolish the death penalty in Kansas, the Catholic Church’s stance on the issue of capital punishment, the perspectives of those who – having lost family members to murder – nevertheless oppose the death penalty, and the nature of and possibilities for healing and reconciliation, as individuals, families, and a society, in the wake of such traumas.
