Gerber Institute Grants
The Gerber Institute may award grants for any project that supports or furthers the mission, vision or current theme of the Gerber Institute provided the application is submitted by a member of the Newman University community which includes faculty, staff, students, alumni and trustees.
Grant Application Format
The person requesting the grant should submit a proposal of no more than 3 pages detailing
- The proposed project,
- the intended or expected outcomes,
- how the project supports or furthers the Institute’s mission, vision or current theme,
- the amount of the grant request with an estimate of expenses required to complete the project, and
- how the project outcomes will be evaluated.

Grant Amounts
Faculty, staff, alumni and trustees may request up to $1500; students may request up to $500. The number of grants awarded each year is based on availability of funds.
Grant Application Process
Grants applications are accepted on a rolling basis but must be submitted at least a month before the proposed project. The application is to be submitted to the Director of the Gerber Institute.
